Terms of Service

I open commissions sporadically. Follow me on social media for updates!

  • These terms of service are for private, single use projects only.

  • Please read the following carefully before ordering.

  • By commissioning me you agree that you have read my terms of service and state that it is a binding contract.

  • These terms of service are subject to change at any time.

  • If you would like additional information or have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Do's and Don'ts

1. General Terms

  • The client must be 18+ years or older at the time of placing an order.

  • Please communicate in English with clear and understandable grammar.

  • When providing the brief and references, please include all details RELEVANT to your commission so they will not be missed or left out. (though please avoid details that are NOT relevant. I do not need to read a novel to understand the brief).

  • Prices are estimates and may increase depending on complexity and details.

  • Commission slots are NOT first come first serve. The artist decides which orders to take on from a batch of orders.

  • Rude / inappropriate / aggressive / abusive behaviour will not be tolerated, and will result in immediate cancellation of your commission and communication.

  • The artist has the right to decline a commission request for any reason.

  • The client must have the means to purchase before ordering, please be responsible.

  • The artwork is not to be altered in any fashion unless given explicit permission by the artist. (such as cutting out the signature, taking it to another artist for alterations, etc).

  • The artwork at any stage of completion must not be minted, put onto a blockchain or NFT marketplace under ANY circumstances or by any means such as a bot or by your own actions or others on your behalf.

  • Cryptocurrencies must not be used for payment, even by Paypal. If it is discovered that your commission was paid for by cryptocurrency, your commission will immediately be cancelled and refunded.

2. Extra Fees

The commission price guide is meant to give a general idea of how much a commission type would cost, upon receiving the client’s request, the artist must then determine the true cost by adding extra fees.

High Detail CharacterNo Character ReferenceEach Extra CharacterLow Detail BackgroundMedium Detail BackgroundHigh Detail Background
50%50%100%50%100%150%

Fees may be applied based on the following factors;

  • The character or prompt is very complicated.

  • Having no visual reference for a character makes the commission a character design project, and takes much longer and is much more complex.

  • Each extra character takes just as much time as the first, though the fee can be negotiated based on the complexity of the extra character.

  • Commissions automatically come with very low detail, abstract backgrounds. If the brief includes scenery, props, landscapes, architecture, etc., an appropriate fee will be added.

  • The commission is requested to be completed within a short deadline

  • The commission is requested to be private (unposted to social medias / galleries, marketing, etc.)

  • The commission is requested to be unmonetised (unposted to paid Ko-fi tiers, unused in published zines/artbooks, prints, merch, etc).

  • More than one major correction round before the rendering phase is requested (such as complete re-sketches).

3. About Process

  • The client fills in the commission form and submits. The artist will then be in contact as soon as they can to discuss details about the brief.

  • If the artist accepts the order, and after full/partial payment is received, the order will be placed in the artist’s queue.

  • When work begins on the client’s order, they will be sent a WIP of the sketch / thumbnails for approval.

  • The client may ask for a certain amount of changes within reason. Excessive changes will incur an extra fee.

  • Depending on the size of the commission, more WIPs may be sent to the client.

  • Once the commission has been finalised, the client will be given final approval. On approval, the client will be sent Dropbox links containing web res and high res pngs. (PSDs are not given unless agreed upon beforehand).

  • Once approval has been given and files sent, the order is considered complete.

4. Turn around times

Wait times for a commission can vary, and the artist will give an estimate based on the brief and their work load. This varies depending on the size and complexity of the order, and the size of the artist’s queue.
Delays may occur due to one or more factors, including but not limited to;

  • Health issues (the Artist suffers from anxiety / depression, which affect their productivity and bodily health).

  • Order or commission in queue

  • Complexity of commission

  • Emergencies

  • Sick days, holidays, break days, weekends, etc.

If any delays occur, the client will be notified and kept up to date. The client can also read updates on Twitter, the Trello Queue, Discord and Telegram. They are also free to email or DM, and the artist will be in contact as promptly as they are able.

5. Artistic Freedom

If the client requests ‘artistic freedom’, or ‘free reign’ or any similar phrase, this means the artist is free to explore the concept, design and style with minimal input from the client (such as a key word, theme or phrase).

  • The client must provide a reference for the character, and whether they would like SFW or NSFW themes. (the artist will always default to SFW if not specified).

  • The client may provide a general prompt to guide the pose/feeling/theme of the artwork, and give an idea of the character’s personality. These should be very brief.

  • The artist will decide what direction to take the artwork. The client agrees to give the artist full creative control.

  • The client will receive a WIP sketch for approval and minimal change requests.

  • The client will not receive further WIP updates until the commission is finished.
